This travel package will take you to the main attractions of the city, Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain, which is located in the lush Atlantic Rainforest of Tijuca National Park. While we intend to adhere to the route described, there is a certain amount of flexibility built into the itinerary and on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable, to make alterations. On Day 1 of the tour, you will be advised of any amendments.

DAY 1 | (Arrival) Rio de Janerio

Upon arrival in Rio, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day to get an acquaintance to the neighborhood and the beautiful beach of Copacabana.

DAY 2 |Rio de Janerio

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. You will head on a half-day city tour of downtown Rio de Janeiro, starting at Copacabana and Ipanema, two of the world’s most famous beaches. A cable car takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for a panoramic view of the beaches and Guanabara Bay.

DAY 3| Rio de Janerio

Day at leisure in Rio to enjoy the world-renowned beaches or take an optional tour (at additional cost). Our favorites include the nearby colonial city of Petropolis, the site of the emperor’s summer palace, or a jeep excursion in Tijuca Forest, the world’s only national park within a major city. Undoubtedly, the excursion to Villavicencio and Caracoles is a picturesque tour in which nature and history are combined with the impressive Andean foothill.

DAY 4| Rio de Janerio

Today, enjoy a half-day city tour visiting the Christ Statue, passing by the most famous beaches in Rio. At 2,400 feet above the city, the panorama of the city below is a testament to why most visitors consider Rio to be one of the most spectacular and beautiful cities in the world.

DAY 5|Rio de Janerio

Another day in the “Cidade Maravilhosa” (the Marvelous City) as the locals refer to Rio. The day is free for more optional activities; continue exploring Rio and its surroundings, work on your suntan, get some rest, last-minute shopping, or go to a ball…the options are endless!
