Following breakfast, relax at your hotel before departing at 11 AM to visit Amber Fort.
Jaipur’s Maharaja Man Singh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, started constructing Amber Fort in the 17th century. Once you are on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Many of the rooms have delightful wall paintings, with precious stones and mirrors inlaid in the walls.
After this visit to Amber fort, you will be attending a workshop (Indian block-printing studios) on traditional authentic carving and hand block printing demonstration to learn this age-old textile craft of Jaipur. In this special tour, you will be visiting the Anokhi Textile Museum followed by a hand on experience on block printing to create your own souvenir.
Enjoy lunch at Park Regis Hotel near Amber fort. After lunch, you will return to the hotel.
In the evening, you will head on a local market walk with a session of Henna tattoo. On this fascinating walk, mingle and talk with the locals whilst observing some of the region’s culinary delight. Observe local artisans in their workshops; jewelers and silversmiths, gold, and silver foil makers. The iconic Hawa Mahal also called the Palace of the winds is the meeting – point at which this walk begins. Here you also have the opportunity of seeing and trying the art of Henna tattoo painting. Please be aware that these are very old market places in Jaipur used almost entirely by local people, hence you should be prepared for the hustle and bustle in the streets.
Enjoy dinner at Narain Niwas Palace with a cultural dance show.
