Upon arrival in Panama, a representative of our company will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your city hotel for your first night in Panama. Panama City is the capital and largest city in the country. It is home to a diverse blend of cultures and an enormous historical sector in the old city. The lively and vibrant banking district is very modern and often compared to Miami. Panama City is a thrilling location, you will surely enjoy during your visit to this gorgeous country.

DAY 2 | Panama to Bocas del Toro

In the early morning, you will be transferred from your hotel to the local airport in Panama City for your flight to Bocas del Toro. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airstrip in Bocas Town and transferred by car to the Bocas Town Hotel. Isla Colon is the largest and most developed island of the archipelago. It is home to the provincial capital of Bocas del Toro, a colorful town made of wooden houses built in the early 20th century. Isla Colon serves as a convenient hub for exploring the archipelago as water taxis can bring you away to remote beaches and magnificent snorkeling sites. The appeal of Bocas is slowing down and soaking up the Caribbean vibes. The island offers a friendly and laid back atmosphere which invites you to stay and feel at home. Even though the charming Isla Colon is in the middle of a major development boom, it still preserves its original Caribbean flair. Hotels, restaurants, and condos are springing up around the island.

DAY 4| Bocas del Toro to Panama

In the morning, you will be transferred to the Bocas del Toro airport for your flight back to Panama City. There, your English speaking guide will pick you up and take you on a private tour to Panama City and the Miraflores Locks.
You will start the tour with a 30-minute drive to Miraflores to see the huge vessels passing the Panama Canal. The busiest hours are between 09:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M., meaning you will be able to see many ships getting lifted or lowered 18 meters in two distinct steps. You will enjoy the view on the locks from a sheltered terrace and listen to the explanations of your guide. To complete the visit of the canal, you will visit the museum and Visitor Center at Miraflores which gives you a good insight into the construction of the canal – a masterpiece of engineering. You will also learn about the history of the canal, its significance for Panama, and the entire world trade, as well as the current expansion project.

After the visit to the canal, you will continue with your guide to the Amador Causeway, a road that connects three islands in the Pacific Ocean and offers magnificent views of the canal on one side and the skyline of Panama City on the other side. The tour continues to the Casco Viejo, Panama City’s colonial quarter. At the Casco Viejo, you feel as if you’ve traveled back in time as you admire the lovely colonial houses, the narrow roads, and the impressive churches. While visiting the highlights of this colonial district – the cathedral, Golden Altar, French Plaza, and the Huertas Passway – you will surely get an idea of Panama’s long and interesting history.
