Day by Day

Please Note While it is our intention to adhere to the route described, there is a certain amount of flexibility built into the itinerary and on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable, to make alterations. On Day 1 of the tour, you will be advised of any amendments.

DAY 1 | Arrival - Tashkent

Upon arrival at Tashkent International Airport, you will be met by our representative. You will start our sightseeing from the Old City part of Tashkent. Visit Khast Imam – a cultic architectural complex and the religious center of Tashkent where the world-famous Uthman Quran has been preserved. Khast Imam complex consists of Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tillya Sheikh Mosque, Muyi Muborak Madrasah, Kafal Shashi Mausoleum, New Khazrati Imam Mosque, and the Muftiate building. Drive to Chorsu Bazaar. After exploring the bazaar drive to the Central Asian Plov Center. Plov is cooked in a giant, wood-fired Kazan. Enjoy your plov!
Visit the State Museum of Applied Art to see priceless samples of applied art created by the golden hands of masters from the first half of the XIX century up to the present time. Have a short Tashkent metro ride from the “Kosmonavtlar” station to the “Mustakallik Maydoni” station. Visit Independence Square, Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre, Amir Temur Square and Museum, “Broadway” street where some street artists and painters display their original artworks (there are many shopping centers, fashion shops, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes are located on and around the Broadway) and Monument of Courage. Drop off at the hotel. Free time.

DAY 2 | Tashkent-Bukhara

Breakfast at your hotel.Early morning transfer to the train station to take your high-speed train “Afrosiyob” to Bukhara.
Arrive in Bukhara. Leave your luggage at the hotel (check-in ) and start your walking sightseeing tour in Bukhara. Visit Lyabi-Khauz Complex, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Trade domes, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, and Miri-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque and Chashma-Ayub mausoleum, Ismail Samani mausoleum. Our representative will arrange a dinner at Nodir Devonbegi Madrasah Restaurant where you can enjoy a traditional dance show.

DAY 3 | Bukhara

After breakfast at your hotel, we will visit Chor-Minor Madrasah. Countryside sightseeing visits the summer residence of Bukhara’s last Emir – Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, Bakhouddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum, and Chor-Bakr Necropolis. Transfer back to the hotel. Free time.

DAY 4 | Bukhara -Gijduvan-Nurata-Yurt Camp

Following breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the ceramics workshop in Gijduvan. Drive to Nurata.
Arrive in Nurata. After lunch visits the Complex Chashma Spring and Namazgah Mosque. Go up to the hills to visit the remains of the Fortress of Alexander the Great. Visit the Kariz – the construction of Kariz is a unique underground water pipeline system near Nurata which is also connected with the name of Alexander the Great.
Drive to the Yurt Camp.

DAY 5 | Yurt Camp-Lake Aydar-Sentyab Village

After breakfast at your hotel, we will drive to Lake Aydarr and to Sentyab village.
Upon arriving in Sentyab village, we will enjoy lunch at the guest house. Enjoy your free time for walking and hiking. The surrounding area is rich in various flora and fauna, some of which are listed in the Red Book. Dinner with the host. Spend a night in a traditional guest house to experience the charm of local life.

DAY 6 | Sentyab Village-Samarkand

Breakfast at your hotel. After we will drive to Samarkand

Arrive in Samarkand. Transfer to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7 | Samarkand

After breakfast at your hotel, we will visit Gur-Emir Mausoleum, “The Pearl of Central Asia” – Registan Square, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, and Siab Bazaar. A Plov for lunch will be arranged. Visit Khazrat Khizr Mosque, Mausoleum of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, Ulughbek Observatory, and Mausoleum of Saint Daniel. Visit the “Meros” paper mill in Konigil village. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8 | Samarkand-Shakhrisabz-Tashkent

After breakfast at your hotel, we will transfer you to Shakhrisabz (85 km). Drive through the Aman-Kutan Gorge and Takhta-Karacha Mountain Pass. On the way, we will stop to enjoy the view at Teshiktosh (Stone with hole). The film “Apache” (1973) was shot on this location – an area that looks incredibly like the American Southwest. A short stop at the top of the mountain pass. There is a tiny market where some local dried fruits can be bought.
Upon arrival in Shakhrisabz, you will visit the Mausoleum of Jakhongir in Dor-us Saodat Memorial Complex, remains of Ak Saray Palace, and Kok Gumbaz Mosque.
We will head back to Samarkand directly to the train station where you will take the high-speed train “Afrosiyob” to
Tashkent. Upon arrival in Tashkent, you will be transferred to the hotel.

DAY 9 | Tashkent Departure

Breakfast at your hotel.
At the appropriate time depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred from the hotel to the airport for your departure flight.
