DAY 1 | (ARRIVAL) San Jose
Upon arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at the airport and provide transfer to your hotel located 20 minutes from San Jose downtown.

DAY 2 | San Jose
Begin your morning with breakfast. As you ascend towards the Poás Volcano, you are sure to notice the change in temperature and vegetation. You will see coffee plantations, fern and flower, and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape. On the way to the volcano, you will visit Doka Coffee Estate for a delicious breakfast and a coffee tour. At the coffee plantation, you will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica. Learn about the careful process involved on the cultivation, harvesting, and roasting of the Golden Bean. After the coffee tour, you will continue to Poás Volcano. At the volcano, you will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. Following the visit to the volcano, you will continue to La Paz Waterfall Gardens for lunch and a tour. On arrival to the La Paz, you will walk through a trail, leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park, you will also visit the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden, and the frog’s exhibit.

DAY 3 | Arenal
Following breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and you will be provided with a shuttle bus transfer to the Arenal Volcano area. In the afternoon, you will be picked at the hotel for your Sky Tram and zip line tour. Sky Trek starts with a 20 minutes ride in the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal Reserve. You will then begin a tour of adventure full of adrenaline above the treetops, which consists of a system of zip lines that allows you to observe the rainforest and its landscape from a different perspective, safely in an innovative and different system. The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances from 100 to 2,460 feet and with a maximum height of 660 feet, which exceed the treetops providing a panoramic view of the Arenal volcano and lake.

DAY 4 | Arenal
Begin your morning with breakfast; be ready to enjoy the sights and the sounds of the tropic. Experience its peacefulness as we quietly paddle down the Peñas Blancas River. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas, crocodiles, and numerous tropical birds await you! The excursion heads to the waterfall by car. Later on, you will head back to La Fortuna for lunch. In the afternoon, your tour continues to the Arenal National Park. The tour guide will talk about the natural and geological history of the volcano. You will be able to hear the sounds the volcano makes in the distance, or even cross a path of solid lava from 1992. Enjoy an excellent view over the volcano and Lake Arenal. Leaving the park, you will be taken to the Hot Springs. You can enjoy the relaxing baths and waterfalls. At the end of the day, you will enjoy a delicious buffet dinner.

DAY 5 | Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and you will be taken to the famous Manuel Antonio National Park. Manuel Antonio is considered to be Costa Rica’s most beautiful park, with enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming, and tropical rainforest forest alive with wildlife. Look out for the monkeys and iguanas!

DAY 6 | Manuel Antonio
Begin your morning with breakfast at your hotel. Come experience one of Costa Rica’s most striking coastlines in an open-seat ocean kayak. You will paddle to Biesanz Bay for a refreshing swim and delicious local snacks. Feel free to have your bilingual naturalist guide direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience threes small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biesanz. You can relax and enjoy the tranquility of a private, white sand beach. After an unforgettable experience at Biesanz, you will continue kayaking towards Manuel Antonio National Park and wonder at the nearby nesting islands where exotic booby birds and frigates call home year round. Lunch will be served in a traditional Costa Rican restaurant.

DAY 7 | San Jose
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Manuel Antonio National Park. An experienced nature guide will take you on an informative hike through the park. Our guides know where you are most likely to encounter sloths, monkeys, etc. They will also provide a great deal of information on the history and the flora and fauna during this two hour walk. Snacks are offered during the tour, and guest may remain in the park afterwards. After this tour, you will be picked up at your hotel and you will be provided with transfer back to San José.

DAY 8 | (DEPART)
Enjoy the final breakfast of your trip at your hotel. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred from your hotel to take your departing flight home.

This property is located only 1,650 feet from Parque Metropolitano La Sabana Park in central San José. It offers an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a fitness center.

Tobías Bolaños International Airport is reachable after a 15-minute drive, and La Sabana Shopping Mall is 5 minutes’ drive away. San José town center is 2.5 mi from the property and the Art Museum is 0.6 mi away.
