Ecuador: Galapagos Triangle

Upon arrival in Quito, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel.Welcome to the international airport, assistance, and transfer to hotel.
After breakfast, we will go back in time a couple of hundred years while driving around the colonial section of Quito and admire architectural monuments, la Compañia Church, Independence Square, with the Presidential Palace. Take the Teleferico (cable car) down offering a spectacular view of the whole city of Quito. If the weather is good, you will be able to see the main elevations of the Andes Mountain chain such as Cayambe, Antisana, Cotopaxi, Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, etc. Then, head up to the “Middle of the World City” to see the monument that divides the Northern from the Southern Hemisphere. It was built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line.
After breakfast, transfer to Mariscal Sucre International Airport to take your Galapagos flight (not included, to be booked by agent). The passengers are greeted by guides at Baltra’s airport and transferred to the Santa Cruz Island by bus. En route, you will visit Rancho Primicia, a giant tortoise reserve on private property in the Galapagos. The tortoises migrate here in search of the cooler shaded area, water holes, and places to lay their eggs. You will have the opportunity to get up close to these incredible reptiles. Primicia is an excellent opportunity take some amazing photos of these gentle giants.
After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00 am. We will take a speed boat and arrive to the “haunted” part of the Island, Puerto Velasco Ibarra. Visit top of the island; Visit Remanso de paz & Cueva de Sucre. Stop at Playa Negra for lunch at local restaurant. Snorkel in Lobería where you can see sea lions; marine iguanas on the shores and reefs of the bay. Return to Puerto Ayora. Terrestrial Wildlife: Galapagos racers (snakes), hawks, barn owls, rails, and three species of finch, and most notably, the Floreana Mockingbird were indigenous to this island. The Floreana Mockingbird is now only found on two small islets of the main island.
After breakfast, we will pick you up at 7:00 am. We will take a speedboat to the Isabela Island, where we sail to Tintoreras Islet, it is named after the white-tip sharks known as “Tintoreras” which come daily to rest on the bottom of the clear water. We can also observe penguins, sea lions, and marine iguanas and go snorkeling with sharks as well as other colorful tropical fishes while enjoying the beaches of Isabela. Lunch at a local restaurant. We will have an opportunity to visit El Centro de Crianza. Return to Puerto Ayora.
After breakfast, we will depart to visit North Seymour Island. To explore the island, follow a circular trail roughly 2 km long leading inland and along the rocky coast that will take you through some of the biggest sea bird breeding colonies in the entire Galapagos. Here, you will find birds nesting, mating and rearing their chicks all year round. Blue-footed Boobies and Frigatebirds are the main attractions here. Since most of the wildlife and birds in the Galapagos Islands are quite fearless, it is possible for visitors to get an up-close view of the nests of many of the birds here, including the lovely Swallow-tailed Gulls and bright Yellow Warblers. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Following breakfast, transfer to Baltra’s airport for your flight to Guayaquil (not included, to be booked by agent). En route, visit Los Gemelos formed by a series of eruptions when the islands were still active. It is the only place on the island where you can observe some species of finches and some endemic plant to this area. In the afternoon, head to a city tour of Guayaquil; traveling along the main streets and avenues of the city we will visit the Simon Bolívar Park, the Guayaquil embankment, La Rotonda with the statues of Bolivar and Saint Martin. We will then visit the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas, where we can admire the magnificent wood architecture where every house is a work of art. From there, you can take a panoramic view of Guayaquil and the Guayas River.
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the international airport for your flight home.
