Upon arrival at Adi Sucipto Airport, you will be met by our representative. Along the way, visit Prambanan Temple, the temple of the “slender virgin” which also known as complex of Lorojongrang, consist of 3 major temples/shrines in the main area dedicated to respected Hindu’s Tri Murti trinity such as Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma & Candi Vishnu. Enough time is given to stroll and observe the beautiful carvings and the neighborhood shrines such as Candi Plaosan and the Candi Sewu. Continue to your hotel in Yogyakarta for check-in.

Breakfast at the hotel. You will start your day for a cultural tour through the city. Visit Kraton (Sultan Palace) walking over the remains of the past centuries, you will understand the history of this artistic city. It was built in 1756 by Sri Sultan Hamengkubowono I., which is also a model of traditional Javanese palace architecture and it lies in the center of the municipality. Up until now, Kraton still serves as the Sultan Palace. Over 25,000 people live within the greater Kraton compound named Taman Sari, which contains its own market, shops, batik and silver cottage industries, schools and mosques. Afterwards continue to Kota Gede, which has been famed as the hub of Yogyakarta’s silver industry since the 1930’s. But this quite old town, which is now a suburb of Yogyakarta, was the first capital of the Mataram Kingdom, found by Panembahan Senopati in 1582. You will visit the busy silver workshops to watch the process. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we will bring you to the most spectacular and world’s biggest Buddhist monument complex Borobudur; built around 800 A.D. Looming out of a patchwork of bottle-green paddies and swaying palm tops, this colossal Buddhist relic is one of the continent’s marvels. After the decline of Buddhism and the shift of power to East Java, the monument was abandoned soon after its completion. For centuries the complex lay forgotten, buried under layers of volcanic ash. Climb up to the top and enjoy a wonderful view of the Menoreh Mountains. Enough time is given to stroll around the complex and to discover its beauty. Afterwards, we continue to visit the nearby located temples such as Pawon Temple and Mendut Temple. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Following breakfast, start the day with a scenic drive to East Java by Sancaka train to Jombang.Mojokerto (depart at 07:25 from Yogyakarta). Along the way, you will discover the picturesque landscape. Once you arrive at Jombang/Mojokerto train station, continue by car to Tosari for 2 -3 hours nonstop ride. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. In the afternoon, arrive at your hotel for check-in and overnight.

Following breakfast, depart to Penanjakan, witnessing the beautiful sunrise (if weather permits). The trip continues to cross the sand-sea to reach the foot of the mount Bromo as the starting point to climb up the stair to the crater. The spectacular view of the range of volcanoes (Bromo, Batok, and Semeru) is unveiled along with the rise of the morning sun. Note: the ideal time to visit Bromo is during the dry season, April to November. At any time of year, its cold on these mountains and night temperatures can get down to around 2-5 Celsius. Finally, head back to the hotel for refreshment and then continue driving to Banyuwangi and directly check in at your hotel in Banyuwangi. Lunch is at local restaurant en-route.

After an early wake-up call and breakfast, our vehicle carries you through the rural villages, coffee and clove plantations and then into one of Java’s last rainforests. Humidity, wildlife, giant ferns and big trees cover the slope of the mountain, to arrive at the Park Ranger’s post to begin the 90-minute hike to Ijen Crater, along a shady track with spectacular views. The stunning view is unveiled at 2883 meters altitude. The lake eerie color and smoke wafting from bright yellow sulfur deposits create the landscape desolate, barren and vibrantly alive. Watching miners descend into the crater and re-emerge carrying up to 80 kilos of ore on bamboo basket along the treacherous path. Afterwards, walk down the mountain and we drive back to the hotel. (Please note this excursion not suitable for elderly clients and clients with walking difficulties) Arrive at the hotel around 11:00 AM to continue the trip to Bali Island. We will pass Banyuwangi and then take public ferry via Ketapang Harbour. In the late afternoon, arrive in Bali and drop off at your hotel in North or South of Bali area (Note: Please be prepared for a long trip from Ijen to Bali. It takes about 05 hrs; Visit-subject to traffic and waiting time of ferry). Lunch is at local restaurant en-route.

Following breakfast, head to the East Coast. Stop at Klungkung or Semara Pura Village for a visit at Kerta Gosa, the Hall of Justice, built in the 18th century. It is beautifully laid out within a moat and provides an exquisite example of the Klungkung style of painting and architecture which can be seen in their ceiling murals. Continue on to Besakih temple known as the “Mother Temple of Bali” located on the slope of Mt. Agung. Drive down through beautiful scenery and small villages you reach Kintamani, with breathtaking view to Mt. Batur with its crater lake, the biggest crater on the island. Further down back to Ubud with last stop at Sebatu Temple, a beautiful temple with ancient shrines surrounded by natural spring water pools with green hillside backdrop. Return to your hotel in Ubud and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Following breakfast, your morning is free at leisure. You can enjoy the rest of the time in the hotel or explore the hotel surrounding on foot. In the afternoon, visit one of the most beautiful temples in South Bali, the Pura Taman Ayun, former royal family temple. It was built in the 17th century by the former King of Mengwi as his family temple; the temple is situated in the middle of an artificial lake. It has three ascending levels of spacious courtyards containing rows of shrines and pavilions. Take a short walk through the complex and admire the impressive surrounding. Your last stop and highlight of this tour wait at the coast. The famous Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most important temples in Bali; it is built on a small island in front of the west coast making it the perfect spot to enjoy an amazing sunset when the golden red sky frames the temple roof and the waves crash into the rocks. Afterwards, return back to your hotel in Ubud.
