DAY 1 | (ARRIVAL) Tel Aviv

Welcome to Israel! Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner.

DAY 2 | Galilee

Following a delicious Israeli buffet breakfast, you will depart from Tel Aviv and head north along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. You will visit the excavations of this ancient city, such as the Roman theatre and Caesarea’s aqueduct. You will continue to Megiddo which is identified as the site of Armageddon. Visit the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, including the well-preserved water supply system. You will head to the beautiful port city of Haifa, nestled on the Mediterranean Sea for a panoramic view of the Bahai Gardens and Haifa Bay. From Haifa, you will continue to Acre, the capital of the Crusaders for more than a century. Visit the ancient city and harbor before continuing eastwards across the plains of the Galilee to your hotel, not far from the Sea of Galilee for dinner.

DAY 3 | Galilee

After a short tour of the Kibbutz grounds, you will take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. There, you will visit the remains of the 2nd-century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th-century mosaic floor. You will continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Afterwards, you will head to the Caesarea Philippi Spring and Waterfall, where Jesus was recognized as The Messiah by his disciples. You will tour the Golan Heights, with its valleys, grazing land, and snow-capped mountains. After a day of touring, you will return to your hotel for dinner.

DAY 4 | Jerusalem

Begin the day with breakfast and then head to Nazareth Cana of Galilee. In Nazareth, we shall visit the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop, and Mary’s Well. Next, you will visit the Jordan River and the Baptismal site, Yardenit. The day proceeds to Beit Shean, one of the ancient Decapolis cities, and visit the Roman theatre. This is the city where Saul and his son, Jonathan, were nailed to the walls. Continue south along the shores of the River of Jordan. Passing Jericho, you will proceed westward and climb to the Golden City of Jerusalem. You will have dinner in Jerusalem

DAY 5 | Jerusalem

Today, you will visit the Old City of Jerusalem. Appreciation of this Golden City begins with a panoramic view from the Mount of Olives, overlooking the walls of the old city and the ancient Jewish cemetery. You will visit the Church of All Nations. You will continue to Mount Zion to see the tomb of King David and the nearby Room of the Last Supper. Enter the Old City to begin exploring the wonders of Jerusalem. Walk through the Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem 2,000 years ago. You will be able to see the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus carried his cross. You will continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. No visit to Jerusalem is complete without a walk through the colorful Arab Bazaar; here is a chance to test your negotiating skills. Visit the Garden Tomb. You will have dinner in Jerusalem.

DAY 6 | Jerusalem

Begin your morning with breakfast at your hotel. Today’s program is dedicated to the new city of Jerusalem. You will visit the model of ancient Jerusalem. You will continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Enter the site by walking along the Street of the Righteous Gentiles, dedicated to the non-Jews that risked their lives in order to save their Jewish neighbors. Continue to Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. The Spanish style church and Mary’s Well is where Mother Mary met her cousin Elizabeth. You will proceed to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity. You will have dinner at your hotel.

DAY 7 | Jerusalem

Following breakfast, you will go to the Judean Desert to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947 by a Bedouin boy. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. You will ascend to Masada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system, and Herod’s Palace. If time and the weather permits, you will have an opportunity to float on the Dead Sea waters.

DAY 8 | Amman

Following breakfast, you will depart from Jerusalem to the border crossing procedures to enter Jordan. Proceed to Jerash, the city of the Decapolis, located about 45 kilometers north of Amman in the fertile heights of the Gilad. You will visit the ancient Roman city of colonnaded streets, the baths, and the hill of the top temple. You will then go to Amman for a city tour of the Jordanian capital.

DAY 9 | Petra

After an early breakfast, you will leave your hotel and travel south on the road to Wadi Musa. You will travel on horseback to the Siq (canyon) and then on foot to Petra, otherwise known as Sela Edom, the ancient capital of the Nabateans from 3rd century B.C. to 2nd century A.D. You will visit the most interesting monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean king) as well as the field of tombs, obelisks, and the altar. You will also visit Al Madhbah from this point you can view the whole of the rock city before heading back to Wadi Musa village.

DAY 10 | Tel Aviv

Following breakfast, you will head to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land and ruins of historical sites. You will continue about 10 kilometers to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there, you will see the Jordan Valley and Jericho Dead Sea. You will also visit the remains of a Byzantine church with a mosaic floor before heading to Tel Aviv.

DAY 11 | (DEPART)

Enjoy your last meal of the trip. Depending on your departure time, you will be transfer from your hotel to the airport for your departing flight home at the appropriate time home.
