DAY 1 | Arrival – Nairobi

Upon arrival in Nairobi, our representative will welcome and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Dinner on own account.

DAY 2 | Nairobi

Follwowing breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked from your hotel for a mid-morning excursion to Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum.
Pick up from your hotel and head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program and one of the pioneering conservation organizations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. You will then proceed to the Giraffe Centre where you can feed the rare Rothschild giraffe.
Lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant.
After lunch, visit Karen Blixen Museum. Karen Blixen Museum was once the centerpiece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. Located 10km from the city Centre, the Museum belongs to a different time in the history of Kenya. The farmhouse gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title

DAY 3 | Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, your driver guide will meet you where you will board your safari van and drive to Samburu National Reserve which is a rugged and Semi-desert Park located in Samburu district in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The park neighbors the homes of the Samburu tribe of Kenya, a tribe known for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life. The game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa onyx. The elusive Kenya leopard is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Samburu intrepid. Afternoon at leisure or you may enjoy a game drive at the reserve.

DAY 4 | Samburu National Reserve

Spend the whole at Samburu National Reserve with numerous game drives and game viewing. In the afternoon you may enjoy a visit to the Samburu village (at an extra cost) where you will be able to learn and experience the Maasai culture inform of songs and dances.

DAY 5 | Samburu - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, check – out and drive south to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving in time for lunch at the Sweetwaters Camp. In the afternoon, proceed for game viewing drives in the Conservancy with a visit to the Rhino and Chimpanzee conservation projects.

DAY 6 | Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Elementaita

After breakfast, check out of your rooms and transfer to Lake Elementaita arriving in time for check in and lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 7 | Lake Elementaita - Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Elementaita

Breakfast at the camp and depart for Lake Nakuru with picnic lunch boxes for full day game drives. Nakuru National Park, which is about 90 miles northwest of Nairobi, in the Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The ecosystem is comprised of the lake, surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity including Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds, and the Black and White Rhinoceros which are the major attractions of the area. Later in the evening, return to your camp for overnight.

DAY 8 | Lake Elementaita - Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, board your safari van and drive further the rift valley to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve which is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. There have been some species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and birds species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sarova lodge. Afternoon at leisure or you may enjoy a game drive at the park.

DAY 9 -10 | Maasai Mara National Reserve

Spend 2 full days at Maasai Mara National Reserve with numerous game drives of game viewing.
The day dawns with an early wakeup call by your tent keeper. Early mornings are chilly at 1800 meters above sea level and you should wrap up warm. The design of the vehicles is open, to bring you as close as possible into the bush. Few predators hunt during the heat of the day, so the early morning is the best time to catch the action. The subtle light on the landscape, with the sounds of awakening birds, create an unforgettable moment. You will return for a hearty breakfast at the camp after the game drive past 0900hrs.
Spend the rest of the morning at leisure. Lunch will be served at the camp. After lunch, you will still have some time on your own before afternoon tea/coffee is served at around 1500hrs then you depart for sunset game drive. Departure is normally at 1600hrs for a gentle game drive around Masai Mara Reserve. The cooler temperatures again bring out the predators looking for prey. At just the right moment, as the sun sets, painting a mixture of orange and reds into the African sky, your Guide will find a suitable vantage point to stop. You may be surprised at the extensive choice of beverages on offer, enabling you to celebrate the passing of yet another wonderful day in paradise! Later return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 11 | Maasai Mara – Nairobi – Depart

After breakfast, bid Maasai Mara goodbye with a game drive en route as you head back to Nairobi on a 5 hr. drive.

OPTIONAL/NOT INCLUDED:  Instead of taking the 5 hr. group transfer, you can book a local flight from Mara to Nairobi instead.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.

Tamarind Tree Hotel

Located in Nairobi, Tamarind Tree Hotel provides an outdoor heated swimming pool, fitness center and garden. Featuring a terrace, the property is located within 3.1 mi of Kenyatta International Conference Center. Guests can enjoy a selection of international cuisines in the on-site restaurant.

All rooms in the hotel are fitted with a 43-inch flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels. With a private bathroom, rooms at Tamarind Tree Hotel also feature garden and pool views. The rooms will provide guests with a desk, chair and tea & coffee making facilities.

A buffet breakfast is available daily at the accommodations.

Speaking English and Swahili, staff at the 24-hour front desk can help you plan your stay.

Sarova Shaba Game Lodge

Located in the heart of the Shaba Game Reserve, Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is perched along the banks of the Ewaso River and features indigenous trees, a fish pond and a large swimming pool. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge.

Offering a view, the rooms come fitted with a mosquito net, a safe and a mini-bar. The private bathroom has a bath, free toiletries and slippers. Extras include a desk, towels and bed linen.

At Sarova Shaba Game Lodge the restaurant and bar offers a variety of dishes and drinks. There is a 24-hour front desk, a shared lounge and a games room.


Ashnil Samburu Camp

Ashnil Samburu Camp is located within the Buffalo Springs Game Reserve. It features an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, a garden and a lounge bar offering views of the African Savannah.

The modern tents are fitted with parquet floors, a mosquito net, wardrobe and a seating area. Each tent features a decked terrace with views of the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Ashnil Samburu’s restaurant offers a view of the river and serves a variety of menus consisting of of oriental, traditional and international cuisines. A bush breakfast or picnic lunch box is available upon request.


Sweetwaters Serena Camp 

Set in Nanyuki within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers free WiFi and free private parking on site. The property features a garden and bar.

The units in the lodge are fitted with a wardrobe, desk, electric kettle and coffee maker. Each tent has a private bathroom with a shower and toilet.

Guests can enjoy breakfast at the property and also have a meal at the onsite restaurant. The accommodations also offers BBQ facilities and business facilities to its guests.

Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp 

Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp is located in Elmenteita, 25 mi from Naivasha. Nakuru is 15 mi from the property. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property and free private parking is available on site.

The accommodations has a seating area. There is a private bathroom with slippers and a hairdryer in each unit. Towels are provided.

Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp also includes an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar.

Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Located at the center of the Mara Triangle in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Serena Safari Lodge is set on a hill overlooking the African Savannah and Mara River.

The rooms at the lodge are equipped with tea-and-coffee making facilities, TV, mosquito nets and bathroom with shower.

Mara Serena Safari Lodge has a restaurant and bar. Other facilities include a spa, fitness center and outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the reserve from the lobby and the terrace.

Guides game drives and hot air balloon safaris can be arranged at an additional cost. The staff at Mara Serena will gladly arrange airstrip transfers at an additional cost.
