DAY 1 | Arrival - Porto

Arrival at Porto airport and transfer to the hotel in Porto.

DAY 2 | Porto

Breakfast at the hotel. The city of Oporto is rich in well-preserved treasures, including Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical monuments, as the Cathedral, the Tower of Clérigos, and the area of Ribeira (UNESCO world heritage site). Despite the stark preservation of ancient monuments and it being a traditional city, Oporto also stands out for having ultra-modern buildings that are admired by international architects. You will see the Casa da Música, Serralves Foundation, among many others. Visit a Port wine cellar with a superb view of the old Ribeira.

DAY 3 | Porto-Douro Valley

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Today, we set off to the phenomenal Douro region, the first demarcated wine region of the World (1756), and where the famous Port Wine is produced. You’ll be able to learn more about the production of the wines while enjoying the beautiful landscape. The tour through the Douro Valley is ideal for getting to know the culture of wine and people in the region of the Douro Valley and the great natural beauty of the River and the Valley of the Douro River. Enjoy lunch in a local vineyard, with a visit and wine tasting.

DAY 4 | Douro Valley-Salgalhos-Bucaco-Coimbra

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Head to the Bairrada region, with abundant rainfall and mild temperatures that help to produce grapes with high acidity and low alcohol content, ideal for making sparkling wines. Visit a wine cellar and wine tasting. Then proceed to the large and majestic forest of Serra do Buçaco, a genuine botanical garden with 700 species, protected by a Papal Bull issued in the 17th century. Departure to Coimbra.

DAY 5 | Coimbra-Obidos-Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Explore Coimbra, the city of students, so-called to host one of the first universities in Europe and the most important in the country. Stroll in the oldest part of Coimbra, make of narrow streets that lead to the top of the hill. We will then depart to the charming village of Óbidos. Travel back in time in this walled medieval town and admire its Gothic churches and the narrow winding streets in stone. Proceed to Lisbon.

DAY 6 | Lisbon-Sintra-Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. In a city that has been influenced by many different far-off cultures over time, there is still a village feel in each historic neighborhood. Stroll through the Pombaline grid of streets in the Baixa district that opens on to the Tagus in Praça do Comércio, then follow the river to discover some of the city’s most beautiful parts: the monumental area of Belém with its World Heritage monuments, the medieval district of Alfama and the latest contemporary leisure spaces, such as the Parque das Nações. Depart to Sintra, a beautiful village declared world heritage by UNESCO. Discover the charms and history of Sintra, explore the historic center, and taste the local delights: traversers and Queijadas. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant while enjoying a Fado show.

DAY 7 | Lisbon-Evora-Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off to Évora, standing in the middle of the beautiful plains of the Alentejo. This walled city was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. We will visit the Roman Temple, dating back to the 3rd century AD and recovered in the 19th century, and the strange Chapel of Bones with its pillars and walls covered by bones, from the 17th century. Visit a winery with wine, cheese, and olive tasting.

Return to Lisbon.

DAY 8 | Lisbon - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Depending on your departure time, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.

Vila Gale Porto Hotel

This 4-star, central Porto hotel is 950 feet from Campo 24 Agosto Metro Station. The Vila Gale Porto features a health club with an indoor swimming pool. The Rua de Santa Catarina commercial district is a 10-minute walk from the property.

The spacious rooms and suites at Vila Gale Porto are air-conditioned and feature bright décor. All have a flat-screen cable TV, minibar and a private bathroom, including a hairdryer and free toiletries.

Vila Gale Porto’s Paris-Texas Restaurant serves Portuguese cuisine and pasta. Room service is available 24/7, for an extra fee. Guests can enjoy wine from the hotel’s vineyard Casa de Santa Vitória, at one of the 2 bars. A billiards room is also available on site.

Regua Duro Hotel

Rooms of Hotel Régua Douro offer satellite TV and are air conditioned. Each is simply furnished and is equipped with a minibar.

The staff at the 24-hour front desk is available to offer advice on excursions and car rental. Sailing trips can be organized on the Douro River where you can enjoy views of the picturesque landscape and terraced vineyards. Alternatively, a range of cardio equipment is offered at the fitness center.

Hotel Régua Douro’s restaurant serves a choice of traditional Portuguese and international cuisine. A drink from the bar can be enjoyed while watching the sun set from the veranda.

Vila Gale Coimbra Hotel

The contemporary rooms are decorated with soft-tone colors and luxurious fabrics. All rooms have air conditioning and some offer river views. The private bathrooms are fitted with a bathtub.

The Vila Galé Coimbra has an extensive spa offering a varied menu of relaxing massage, beauty treatments and other recreational facilities available for an extra fee.

Hotel Mundial

The bright Varanda de Lisboa Restaurant offers local cuisine in an à la carte style. Both the restaurant and the rooftop bar offer sweeping views over Lisbon. The newly-opened Adega Premium Winehouse Bar & Shop has an extensive wine list, as well as a décor inspired by traditional wine cellars. the Adega is ideal for lovers of tasty cheeses, local chorizos and Portuguese snacks.
