Wanna go to Dubai, here’s what you need to know.

All passengers traveling to Dubai from any point of origin (GCC countries included) must hold a negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, except for travel from India. Please see the requirements for travel from India below.

The certificate must be a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test. Other test certificates including antibody tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai. Travellers must bring an official, printed certificate in English or Arabic to check in – SMS and digital certificates are not accepted. PCR certificates in other languages are acceptable if they can be validated at the originating station.


Dubai has been recognized by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and received its Safe Travels stamp for its safety protocols in place.

Tourists are required to download the COVID-19 DXB app for iOS or Android, anyone who shows symptoms on arrival and tests positive for COVID-19 after being re-tested must comply with a 10-day isolation. The traveler will bear the cost of treatment and quarantine unless their carrier is Emirates or FlyDubai.


Masks are compulsory, as is keeping a two-metre (6.5 feet)  social distance. You must wear a mask unless exercising, eating or drinking, in a car with your family, or driving alone. Family entertainment, attractions, observation decks, public transport, parks, beaches, pools, as well as shopping malls and restaurants & cafes are open and fully operating. All activities follow strict hygiene and sanitization measures as well as implemented temperature checks to ensure the safety of guests.


Tourists will bear the costs of examination and treatment abroad, in the event, they are infected with COVID-19, so are advised to have international health insurance coverage that covers COVID-19 before traveling.

If you are traveling with Emirates airline and have purchased your ticket after 1 December 2020, you will automatically benefit from additional multi-risk travel insurance provided by AIG Travel.


The UAE government has specified designated laboratories. You can either use the recommended laboratories in the list or any trusted and certified laboratories in your country of origin to get your COVID‑19 PCR test.

You may be required to take another test at Dubai Airports upon arrival if traveling from select destinations or if you show symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival. All travelers must check the country requirements from which they are departing.
